Jay Abo is leading a whole new cycle of homegrown music in Dubai and Lebanon.  His sound has been described as 'Soul and Blues meets Acoustic Pop'.  He is a singer/songwriter whose key influence is John Mayer, and we can tell. The way Jay gently plays his guitar with that soulful touch is mesmerizing, never mind the fact that he has one of the smoothest voices we have ever heard.   He recently finished in the top 3 acts at the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition and lost by a hair but no worries, his following and popularity grew more and more. Jay will soon be touring and promoting the release of his album, and is also working on new material.
