Al Farabi is one of the best traditional Oriental Traditional Arabic bands in the Region. Their name comes from Al-Farabi (Alpharabius) who wrote a book on music titled Kitab al-Musiqa (The Book of Music), and which in the West has been introduced as the book on Arab music. Al Farabi presents philosophical principles about music, its cosmic qualities and its influences. Al-Farabi’s propose that the intellect can be enhanced with music therapy, and he also discussed the therapeutic effects of music on the human soul. Al Farabi Band is available from four musicians and up to 18 piece full Arabic orchestra. Their quality and diverse music repertoire makes this Oriental Traditional Arabic band much sought after by government and corporate clients.
