Samvel was born in Armenia in 1982 and is an active pianist and composer. Before relocating to Los Angeles in 2003 he was actively involved in Armenian music scene from 1998. He was a pianist of Armenian State Jazz Big Band from 1999 to 2003. Besides touring and recording two studio albums with the Big Band he has worked with several internationally renowned artists as such as Grammy Winning artists Arto Tunçboyacıyan and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, American jazz singer Deborah Davis. Currently he is residing in Dubai U.A.E. He is been actively involved in Dubai music scene since 2012 as sideman as well as a leader. As a sideman he has performed in 2014 & 2015 Blended Music Festivals, Dubai Youth Expo 2020 and several other high profile events (with Abri&Funk Radius). His current projects include Jazz Hats (with his brother accordionist Hayk Gasparyan and friend Artur Grigoryan). A.R.S trio and Samvel Gasparyan Trio. Since 2013 he is peripatetic piano teacher at GEMS Music Academy.
